What does “Bond” mean in Colorado criminal law?

"Bond" means a bail bond which is an undertaking, with or without sureties or security, entered into by a person in custody by which he binds himself to comply with the conditions of the undertaking and in default of such compliance to pay the amount of bail or other sum fixed, if any, in the bond. (C.R.S. § 16-1-104)
