What does “crime of deception” mean in Indiana criminal law?
"crime of deception" means any offense in which a person assumes the identity of another person, professes to be another person, uses the identifying information of another person, or falsely suggests that the person is acting with the authority of another person. (Ind. Code § 35-38-1-2.5)
