What does “Trigger lock” mean in New Jersey criminal law?

"Trigger lock" means a commercially available device approved by the Superintendent of State Police which is operated with a key or combination lock that prevents a firearm from being discharged while the device is attached to the firearm. (N.J.S.A. 2C:39-1)
