What does “Convertible pistol” mean in New York criminal law?
"Convertible pistol" means any semi-automatic pistol with a cruciform trigger bar that can be readily altered by hand or with common household tools so that it can be converted into a machine-gun by the installation or attachment of a pistol converter. (N.Y. Penal Law § 265.00)
