(1) If a child is committed by the juvenile court to the physical custody, as defined in Section 26B-5-401, of a local mental health authority, or the local mental health authority's designee, Title 26B, Chapter 5, Part 4, Commitment of Persons Under Age 18, shall govern the commitment and release of the minor. (2) If a minor is committed to the Utah State Developmental Center, Title 26B, Chapter 6, Part 4, Division of Services for People with Disabilities, shall govern the commitment and release of the minor.
